Keyboard parts that physically immobilize the "pressed" key

The Tohoku / Hokkaido dialects have the word "-saru". For example, it is used like "pressed", but the nuance is slightly different from "pressed". Regardless of one's will, the power of something extraordinary, such as Zashiki-warashi, Kokkuri-san, Koropokuru, or other unknown beings, works to "push" without permission. It's an expression that probably includes avoiding one's responsibility, and it's a really useful word with no intention of imposing responsibility on something.

So, when using the keyboard, I often encounter such "pressed" scenes. In my case, it's the Insert key or the Kana key. For some reason, when I try to press Backspace when I mistype, the Insert key is pressed, and sometimes the Kana key is pressed when I try to press the kuten key. After the Insert key is pressed, I type it without noticing it, overwriting the existing characters and getting confused.

I think there may be a key that you can press, but the problem is how to deal with it. In the case of the author, it seems that the cause is that I have a habit of not being able to put my finger in the home position properly, but it is not something that can be easily fixed, and if so, the Insert key etc. will not work. I thought it would be quick.

There is a way to disable it in terms of software, but if that is the case, you will have to reconfigure it every time the OS or PC environment changes. Better yet, it's better not to be able to physically press the key. That's why I got an item called "Key Lock for CHERRY MX Switch" by Diatec.

"Key lock for CHERRY MX switch"

As the product name says, "CHERRY MX switch only", it fits the keyboard "Majestouch 2SS Edition" that I love. Most keyboards with other CHERRY MX switches will support it. Compatible keyboards are posted on the manufacturer's site, so be sure to check before purchasing.

Be careful as there are front and back

This part, which is not unlike the one holding the bread bag, is sandwiched under the keycap to prevent the key from being stroked. However, there is a little trick to install this. You have to slip it under the key you want to get stuck, so first remove the key above or below the key, then hold down the keycap and insert this part. I managed to set it while failing many times.

After removing the Delete key under the Insert key and sliding it under the Insert key from the bottom, I feel that it is slightly higher than the other keys, but there is no discomfort Kana key has two keys on the upper side Remove and work This is slightly more forward than the other keys.

The Insert key and Kana key, which I often mistype, have no possibility of being used normally. Even rarely used keys can be troublesome if you can't press them, so I'd like to use them for keys that have no effect even if they are disabled in the future. The Insert key and Kana key with this part inserted do not jump at all when hit from above, and if you mistype vigorously, you are likely to point at it (although you do not hit it so hard when you actually mistype).

It's just a simple item that makes it impossible to press keys, but the effect is outstanding. There is no need to press the Insert key, and of course, the characters will be overwritten and confused, and the efficiency of the key type will explode. If you have a key to press, please use this part.
