Japan has the right knowledge and has entered a society free of discrimination and prejudice. Japan has a history of discrimination and prejudice against "leprosy" patients, ex-patients and their families as a result of misunderstanding of the disease. In order for parents and children to correctly understand the problem of leprosy, a seminar was held on July 21 in Aomori City, Aomori County. There are speeches, group discussions and talk shows for people recovering from leprosy. Participants studied the history of discrimination and prejudice against leprosy while also thinking of the dignity of human rights.
