Paper on atopic dermatitis is published in "The Faseb Journal"

This study discovered a special lipid biological function that made up a cell membrahey called "spin garbage lin", which has not been elucidated.It has been revealed that "spin trash lin" has the effect of keeping the skin barrier function normal and reducing the condition of atopic dermatitis.The results of this research are expected to develop drugs for allergic symptoms, including atopic dermatitis.

■ Research result outlihey

"Sphin trash lin", which is abundant in the skin stratum corheyum, is a special lipid that makes up a cell membrahey.Although it is distributed in the human skin tissue of humans, the whole biological function has not been revealed so far.

In this study, we clarified the following three things about spin trash lin in skin tissue.

(1) It was revealed that spin garbage linin to keep the skin barrier function normal by suppressing STAT3 in skin tissue.

STAT(Signal transducer and Ah Ctivator of transcription)とは、サイトカインと呼ばれる炎症を調整する重要な因子を細胞内に導入するために必須である転写因子群の総称。現在STAT1～6までが知られており、STAT3は組織修復や発がんとの関連が示されています。

(2) In the skin tissue of atopic dermatitis patients, it was found that the amount of synthetic enzyme that produces spin garbage linin has decreased.In experiments with mice missing spin garbage lin, the severity of atopic dermatitis was confirmed.

(3) Applying spin trash lin to the skin of the atopic dermatitis model mice revealed that the condition was reduced.
