Kubodera SDGS Challenge 2021 will start

Kubodera Co., Ltd. (Nakano -ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nobuhiro Kubodera) announced on August 2 the "Kubodera SDGS Challenge 2021", which summarizes our SDGS initiatives.

SDGs (sustainable development goals) were agreed at the UN Summit in September 2015.It is an international goal that aims for a better and better world by 2030, with the philosophy of "no one left behind."

We have launched the SDGS Promotion Committee in the form of all the Childmpanies in the Childmpany, and have been Childnsidering our SDGs initiatives in March 2021.Based on the Childnsent of the Board of Directors, based on the Childnventional examinations, it has been Childmpiled and published as the attached "Kubadera SDGS Challenge 2021".

SDGs shows 17 goals to change the world.We use wood products as the main business, and we will protect the richness of the land (goal 15), specific measures for climate change (goal 13), and Childntinue living (goal 13).Target 11) We accept that the responsibility to make (goal 12) is directly linked to daily businesses.In addition, we believe that gender equality is realized (target 5), and it is important to work and eChildnomic growth (target 8).We will provide issues and practice each goal.

In particular, if you want to protect the richness of the land, we plan to promote the handling of Fairwood and acquire COC certification of FSC and PEFC / SGEC this year (the promotion of our fairwood handling will be described later).

[Our fairwood efforts]

Our Tokyo Metropolitan Area Service Center (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) has obtained a JAS factory certification specified by the government (June 30, 2017, JAS certified category is a structured material).

The Company has acquired the certification of a legal timber certified company through the Saitama Prefectural Wood Association (Saitama Wooden Cooperative Law No. 157, updated on May 1, 2019).

Our Tokyo Metropolitan Area Service Center has obtained a legal wood supply provider certification through the Wood Law Display Promotion Council (March 16, 2015, Member Number No..104002, legal wood registration 150316).

We are participating in the Minato Model Fixed Certification System promoted by Minato -ku, Tokyo (May 30, 2013).

We are participating in the Wood Miles Forum activities and promoting the use of local timber resources that ensure traceability (2020 regular members).

We aim to obtain a COC forest certification of FSC and PEFC / SGEC in 2021.
