Yamazaki Mazak announced on December 2, 2020 that it will standardize "Mazak iCONNECT" for machines equipped with the latest CNC device "MAZATROL SmoothAi" from the same month.
Mazak iCONNECT is a comprehensive service launched in April 2019. Cloud network technology connects users, machine tools manufactured by the company, and the support center to provide various types of support that improve productivity.
This time, for machines equipped with MAZATROL SmoothAi, dedicated communication equipment, which was previously paid, will be standardized, and Mazak iCONNECT cloud service functions will be standardized. Users who purchase the target model can use the cloud service free of charge for three years.
Mazak iCONNECT's cloud service uses mobile phone lines, so there is no need for complicated wiring work, and various functions can be used from the first day of machine installation. You can access the dedicated portal site from your PC or mobile phone and check the operating status of the machine at any time. It is also possible to try various production support software for free before purchasing.
In addition, we have newly developed a "Mill Spindle Performance Diagnosis" function. It is possible to periodically diagnose the condition of the mill spindle of the company's machine tools equipped with the machine's optional "Smooth Ai Spindle". When an abnormality is discovered, the communication function of Mazak iCONNECT can be used to receive a detailed diagnosis remotely from the company's online support center.
In addition, service functions related to operation monitoring and maintenance management have been expanded. We are planning to add more functions in the future.
